Date: August 2-4, 2016
Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (August 2-3), 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (August 4)
Location: NASA Ames Conference Center, Building 3, NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA
The Human Systems Integration Division at NASA Ames Research Center cordially invites you to an Airline Operations Workshop to be held at the NASA Ames Conference Center in Moffett Field, CA in August 2016. This meeting will gather together government and private sector interests whose research and development work supports the airlines (airline operations center (AOC) and flight deck).
Join experts in the field as we convene to exchange new ideas and discuss objectives. The presentations will include examples of government and industry projects and applications that focus on airline operations (as opposed to air traffic control or traditional aeronautics). With the assistance and input of industry members, ideas will be gathered to guide future NASA work in airline systems automation. An outcome from this workshop will be a network of researchers, developers, and users of airline operations tools that will be a resource for future efforts in this domain.
The workshop will be held over three days (August 2, 3, and 4, 2016) in the NASA Ames Conference Center (Building 3), NASA Ames Research Center. There is no registration fee.
Industry software providers, airline representatives, and academic and government researchers are invited to present descriptions of their current and planned automation systems and tools. Some sessions will be 45 minutes, with 10 minutes for questions and some will be 30 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions. The emphasis is on innovative solutions to support more safe and efficient airline operations.
As part of each briefing, we ask presenters to include the following:
- Automation capabilities that support AOC and/or flight deck operations
- Areas where research and development are needed
- Suggestions for how NASA could support airline industry technology needs
Registration is now closed.
Submission of presentation requests is closed.
If you have questions, please email arc-aow@mail.nasa.gov or call 650-604-3455. NASA Ames is zoned for Pacific Standard Time (PST).
