During the week of August 27, 2018, the Airspace Operations Laboratory (AOL) hosted a number of visitors interested in the work being performed in the area of UAS Traffic Management (UTM). Across multiple days, members of the NASA Advisory Council, Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Coordination and Assessment Team (UCAT), and industry partners were provided with a demonstration of the tools and technologies available in the UTM Laboratory and briefings on the status and direction of the UTM project. The week culminated with a visit from the newly appointed NASA Administrator, Jim Bridenstine, and his staff. The visit was capped off with a live, on-camera social media event in which the
Administrator conducted an interview with the UTM Chief Engineer from the AOL.
