Dr. Patricia Cowings of NASA Ames, to be Inducted into the Prestigious (WITI) Hall of Fame

Dr. Patricia Cowings has been selected for induction into the Women in Science and Technology International (WITI) Hall of Fame, class of 2009. The WITI Hall of Fame is a very significant and prestigious award that recognizes women who have made outstanding contributions in science and technology that improve and evolve our society. Dr. Cowings, a research psychologist and the lead of the Psychophysiological Research Lab in the Human Systems Integration Division at NASA Ames Research Center, is being specifically cited for her exceptional scientific advancements. For more than 20 years, Dr. Cowings has been responsible for planning and conducting research into space-induced physiological changes and developing non-medical countermeasures. The official announcement, promotions, and press releases on the class of 2009 will begin in January of 2009.
